Omišalj- Čavle Theater Festival

Omišalj and the town of Grobnik alternate in the role of hosts of the People’s Theater Festival, an event that celebrates the most popular plays of Croatian theatres! Performances are held alternately on Prikešte square and the ancient city of Grobnik*. The goal, of course, is to watch everything. The specialty of this one festival lies in the cultural cooperation of the former Frankopan castles, the Municipality of Omišalj and the Municipality of Čavle, an environment rich in cultural tradition and folk creativity. * in case of bad weather, the performances are moved to the new Community Center in Omišlj, i.e. to the Čavle Cultural Center in Grobnik * There is no ticket reservation, it is enough to arrive early and take your place. * Admission to all performances is free.

Nothing will be good for them’ is a story about a house from which children who are no longer children have left, and the parents suddenly find themselves alone, in front of each other, rather than next to each other. Seeing a different experience in each other, they accuse each other and fundamentally do not understand each other.

Anticipating an imminent cataclysm, our protagonists seek refuge in the Eden Clinic, and they let us go home with the question of which side of the madness we choose to be on.

Author and actor: Enio Meštrović – Ričard Production : Harlequin comedy Master of tone and light: Zrinko Mužić Duration: 100 min The plot of the play tells about the sublime moment of death, when the main character, the well-known Ričard, comes to St. Peter to face God, discussing his life’s sins. The favorite Zadar actor and performer Enio Meštrović is the author of the play in which he also plays the character of his now iconic alter ego – Ričard, and Gordana Hleb, Dragan Veselić and Davor Olić also perform in the play.

The audience watches the audience played by the actors. The author herself says that this text raises the question of why we do not know how to get closer to each other and why it is so difficult for us to master the art of living. The play is imbued with humor, so humor (which is strongly, completely and artistically inspired by the actors) is the way that leads to the result of comedy.
