Woman… that magical, mysterious universe full of unfathomable mechanisms and reasons. Surprising herself, the habitus leaves the woman without any answers. Even more the opposite of your gender. In constant search and eternal change, he always chooses change and transition of ideas, his choices and state. The dynamics of perpetuum is the search for new horizons. Created to breathe life into new life, woman is an eternal pace of re-starting and constant walking. An enigmatic, unusual wild animal and a tame ovijusha. A woman among so many women. A woman is both the primordial beginning of the universe and the earth itself. Place of origin and parents. Mother and foster mother. Comforter. Beauty. Sensual provocateur. Gentle, meek giver. All that, and we’re more of a woman. From pole to pole and land and sea … it’s all WOMAN. Young fine artist, academic sculptor Georgette Yvette Pontè presents an opus of paintings with the thematic denominator of women. In her painting opus with oil paints on canvas, the painter treats the motif version by varying the perspective with the ferocity of the sculptor. Acts of pasty texture are closer to the relief ductus of the sculpture. The marks of the brush are a chisel that vehemently digs into stone or wood. The structure is the strength of a solid erotic exchange. Textural variation of the enormous rush of puten sijje. The dynamics of compositional perspectives contribute to the voyeuristic imagination of thematic guidelines. An act is performed with an almost masculine, firm treatment, which, through the sequence of sequences, forms a whole. Isn’t that also the view of the sculptor’s eye in synthesizing perspective and understanding of spatial occupation? A flat painting that plays with space, dominates both sea and land… WOMAN.

Biography
Georgette Yvette Ponté was born on September 10, 1983 in Nice, France. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2014, at the Department of Sculpture, in the class of prof. Peruško Bogdanić. She had five solo exhibitions and participated in more than 25 group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She is the winner of several awards and recognitions for painting and photography, of which the first prize at the 32nd international art competition Mandrač, Volosko, Opatija stands out. So far, she has created four public sculptures in Croatia and abroad. Ponté participated in the Glo Art art residency in Belgium. She is a member of HDLU Rijeka.
