For the fourth year in a row, the Photographic Association Fotogard presents photographs of its members in joint exhibitions. About 60 members have participated in these exhibitions so far. In their photographs, the authors talked about their life attitudes, vocations and activities related to the themes of individual exhibitions. The association gathered authors from several Croatian cities, the base of which consists of members from Zadar, Split, Sisak and Zagreb. Members of the association are people of different ages and with different photographic interests. Among them there are amateur photographers, but also several professional photographers who make a living from photographic work. All these people were connected by the idea of ​​author’s photography and perfecting their own photographic expression. Everyone benefits from such mutual gatherings and presentations. Amateur photographers learn faster with professional photographers, while such an environment gives professional photographers freedom and distance from agency photography, which often stifles creativity. At the exhibition in Rovinj during Photodays, part of the works from the previous exhibitions were shown. The photographic association Fotogard was founded with the aim of promoting, developing and improving the photographic culture in the Republic of Croatia and in the international framework, and to represent the interests of its members.
