Civic apartment. Dinner for 5 distinguished guests. The invitation was received by the “formers” – and at the invitation of the “formers”! Presidents&ca is an extremely current and sharp comedy based on a text by Boris Svrtan and Tarik Filipović, and directed by the latter, a young veteran of Kerempuh. Can former Croatian presidents, alive or “the others” save our country? The more cynical will say that neither the future nor the former can help. Can they, despite their different political aspirations, unitedly strive towards one common goal? So, can those who are part of the past help us weave a better future? Although these are questions to which we have no answers, the theater opens up a space for our imagination filled with bitter and cynical notes, exactly the kind that this impossible presidential dinner abounds in. The satirical element of President&ce highlights many absurdities of our society, reminds us of the past and present, and warns of an uncertain future.
