The twelfth attractive exhibition of the ” Friends of the Sea” project visits the squares and waterfronts of the Croatian Adriatic. During the summer of 2022 at The exhibition will be seen by a large number of visitors in seven destinations of Istria and the Northern Adriatic.
EXHIBITION 2022 – Friends of the Sea: “Touch of Magic”
The exhibition from the series “Friends of the Sea” in 2022 in 30 large formats presents a series of photographic records created in the environment of unreal visions that can even seem like manipulations related to marine contents that nevertheless reflect a unique aesthetic atmosphere. The aim of this exhibition is to show domestic and foreign visitors an enviable media culture through tourist photography, which shows the sea in its strange, magical nature in a special way, in a given time. The photographic excellence of the selected authors is reflected in their understanding of artistic aesthetics. The works were selected by the expert team of the “Rovinj Photodays” festival, and are exhibited by: Ivo Pervan, Mario Romulić and Dražen Stojčić. In cooperation with tourist associations, Friends of the Sea will be hosted by: Rovinj, Pula, Mali Lošinj, Krk, Baška, Njivice, Šilo, Malinska, Punat and Čavle.
ABOUT THE “Friends of the Sea” PROJECT
In 2009, the Livingstone association from Rijeka and the Astoria company designed the national cultural-tourism campaign “Friends of the Sea”. The goal is to draw the attention of the Croatian public and all visitors to the role of photography in media culture and the social responsibility and ongoing value of promoting the ecology and preservation of the Adriatic Sea with large-format outdoor photo exhibitions every year during the summer months.
