RiverBlue band – a unique exotic experience
The group RiverBlue plays traditional American music, known as bluegrass, a subgenre of country music also known as hillbilly music. The direction is inspired by Appalachia music, which has its roots in Scotland, Ireland and traditional English music. According to the Crountry – Croatian Country Association, they are the only such group in Croatia, and quite possibly in this part of Europe. RiverBlue’s musical role models are Alison Krauss & Union Station, Sierra Hull, Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs, Del McCoury Band, The Dillards, The Steeldrivers. Although the group has only been active for two years, it is made up of experienced musicians with an enviable musical reputation and has recorded many successful performances. Among the recent performances, we can single out the appearance as an opening act for the renowned country band Cooks & Straights, who were declared the best European country band in 2008.
